Professional Experience
Marty is a founding principal of ArtHouse Design and brings 30 years of experience to the firm. His design experience includes award-winning identities, signage and printed collateral for corporate, commercial, retail, healthcare, universities, and municipal clients. Marty is known for his wizardry with pen-and-paper, making spontaneous ideas in a meeting instantly come to life. His innovative design solutions are applied to all phases of the environmental design process from schematic drawings to the smallest details of construction, making him an energizing presence on any team or project.

Marty holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the highly respected Colorado State University and has been deeply involved in the design community since 1981.

My room in the ArtHouse
Marty is the creative director and lead designer on projects, providing crucial strategy while attending design meetings and stakeholder presentations. He provides primary direction on the firm’s approach while overseeing the management of project funds and billing. Marty understands how important it is to meet all the needs of various stakeholders, and he knows the most successful projects are a result of listening and creating multiple options.

Outside the house
Marty is a Colorado native whose passion for art and design is exceeded only by his passion for his family. These loves of his life are followed closely by a love of the Colorado mountains, the perfect bicycle, a deep conversation with interesting people, drawing exceedingly wonderful “doodles” in his ongoing collection of daily notebooks, and a robust glass of red wine. (Not always in that order.)
